Sixty cents of every dollar goes to the artists.
The other forty keeps the lights on, the chairlift running, and the doors open for whoever's next. Both halves matter.
Where your dollar goes
More than sixty percent of our budget is paid directly to artists.
Theatre Project operates on a budget under $250,000. That's lean for any presenting venue running 200+ events a year — and it means every dollar resonates further. More than sixty percent of what we spend goes to salaries and artistic fees: actual money in the pockets of resident companies, guest artists, and visiting performers from across Baltimore, the U.S., and the world.

Artists
Salaries, artistic fees, residency support. Money directly into the pockets of the people making the work.
Building & production
Utilities, lighting and sound systems, the chairlift, the dome, the seats. The infrastructure that lets the work happen.
Operations & outreach
Box office, marketing, community programs, gallery exhibits, workshops. The work that makes a venue more than a venue.
